Our Story
KSTM Engineering Inc. was founded from the shared vision of an architect and a mechanical and manufacturing engineer, both with extensive industry experience. This partnership embarked on a journey to create human-centred designs—spaces that not only captivate but also nurture the well-being of their occupants. Guided by principles of biophilic and sensory design, we focus on crafting environments that promote health, vitality, and sustainability.
The missing link in our vision was mechanical engineering, which led to the founding of KSTM Engineering. By integrating mechanical engineering with our established practices in architecture, construction, project management, product design, and supply chain management, we have created a comprehensive approach to design and engineering. Leveraging our extensive industry experience and professional network, we built a team of experts—engineers and technicians with decades of global experience.
Our expertise in fire protection engineering is backed by nearly two decades of experience in the building code industry. As active contributors to the development of building codes, including participation in the Canadian Board for Harmonized Construction Codes (CBHCC), our team is deeply involved in shaping the safety standards that govern our industry. This background allows us to deliver cutting-edge fire protection solutions that meet rigorous compliance standards while ensuring maximum safety.
In construction and project management, our experience spans large-scale projects where precision, efficiency, and innovation are paramount. Our energy conservation solutions, developed in collaboration with provincial Hydro, Environment Canada, and NRCan/NRC, ensure that our projects are not only sustainable but also aligned with national environmental goals.
